A reflection on personal effects linked to global warming, such as: Hurricane Katrina, a storm of Jensen’s early adolescence, and Hurricane Michael, which Jensen’s sister was impacted by in 2018.

The effects of global warming are creating ghost towns and specters of doom and loss, not only in our own communities but in nonhuman communities such as coral. These ghost towns are depicted in chaos below the storm clouds , wind, and hot orange sky.
